General Information

The Oriental Chemical Works (P) Ltd. Kolkata was established in 1930. The Company was the first to introduce Dye Penetrant Inspection materials in India in 1960. In 1962 the Company started commercial production of dye penetrants and specialty maintenance chemicals in India for the aerospace industry under a technical collaboration with a renowned British Multinational Company. Today, ORION Liquid Dye Penetrant products match in quality in equal terms with international brands and are reliable and very cost effective with excellent technical support.

Technical Features

The Production facilities are located in three units in Kolkata and Howrah and includes more than 90,000 sq. ft of manufacturing, analytical, research & development and warehousing facilities. The Production facilities include appropriate modern plant & equipment supported by the analytical and quality control laboratory with the latest testing equipment to ensure complete compliance to quality and specifications. 

Research & Development

Our Research & Development wing is recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The main responsibilities of the R&D are product up-gradation and redesigning formulations to suit the market needs.
